Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival is an Annual week long Vintage and Arts Festival in Birr, Co. Offaly. Celebrating its 45th year in 2013, the Festival offers a week of top entertainment, packed with, Theatre, Olde Time Fair, artisan craft & foods market, Vintage Parade, live music, free kids events, Antiques & Fine Art Fair, busking, donkey derby, pub entertainment, fireworks, and so much more …
This year the Organising Committee have lined up lots of great new events alongside well-loved annual favourites in our 45th Annual celebration. Birr’s long history, impressive Georgian heritage, thriving arts scene and cultural resources are all on offer for you to explore and enjoy.
The Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival App lets the user access what is going on in the Festival in a quick and easy way.
Key Features:
- Individual pages for each fun filled day.
- Easy to find information on individual events.
- Click on a web address to open your web browser.
- Click on phone numbers to open your phones dialler function instead of copying and pasting the number into the dialler.
- Text will appear slightly bigger when your phone is turned on its side (landscape view)
Key Design Features
- This app makes extensive use of styles to style the look and feel of the app text and text style. The advantage of this is it cuts down on repetitive code.
- Style are also used for styling for phones with big screens, phones being held
on their side (Landscape) and 7’ tabs (and Landscape mode). - The app contains a lot of features that have been custom designed like roll buttons, backgrounds, scrolling backgrounds, toasts, menu settings and menu setting icon’s (only available in some phones).

Unfortunately The Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival App 2013 has been removed from the Play store due to the information in the app being no longer relevant to the Festival in that took place in August 2014.
